ATXPiHat are available for purchase!

Tindie has the ATXPiHat for sale starting 02/20/2018. I currently have a lot of 20 available. When these are gone, I will get more manufactured.

To all, I am new at this direct sales and support process and already have a fulltime job. I will do my best to help in anyway that I can. Please be patient with me. As the software gets updated, I will release information about the updates. Additionally, common problems that come up and have solutions I will post here so that everyone can get them. If there are any questions, please contact me and I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

We have taken a very conservative approach with the manufacturing and are hoping that the community likes these and will want more. After this lot is exhausted, we will have an additional 20. Depending on the demand, we will purchase and build what we think will sell. The more that people want to purchase, the cheaper that they will be. If there is interest in getting a “kit” with all of the extra bit, EPO, Fan, Cables, etc, I would like to know. I will try to source them in bulk for better pricing.

Originally, this project was to solve a problem that I was having, so this board has been tested on several Anet A8’s and 6’s. In an effort to provide some use with other higher amperage printers, I wanted to provide a few simple wiring diagrams for your use.

The current Molex 4 pin ATX cable (as seen in the above image) that we provide is not color coded correctly. The next batch, I will have them done correctly. In the meantime, I will make sure that they are labeled properly. The yellow wires coming from the ATX PSU, is 12v and the black is GND.

Another note about the plugin and the hardware; it is a good idea to reboot the Pi after the installation and/or upgrade. There are a significant amount of timers and whatnot going on that during this process sometimes Octoprint does come back working properly after a plugin installation/update. This is just a suggestion, but I will most likely ask this question if there is an issue.

I apologize for the delay in getting these ready for sale. Thank you to everyone that helped with this project, I appreciate everything.

Warm regards, Brian

PS, You have to see what Steve and I have coming next…….<evil grin>
